Yesterday, Pixies
Don’t Have Wing’s 1st anniversary came and went with little fanfare. To be honest, I almost forgot about it.
I’ve had a
blast writing the posts and I hope my readers have enjoyed them as well.
But I have
to do something to celebrate the anniversary.
I mean, it
would be so sad not to.
So, I
decided to give something away.
Rules
(because there always has to be rules):
You need to leave a comment on this blog post. Tell me what
you like about faeries. And if you don’t
like faeries, tell me what you don’t like about them. I promise to keep an open mind. You have until 5:00 pm EST on Sunday (September 9th). I will post the winner on Monday morning.
You don’t
have to like my Facebook page or follow the blog (though both of those things
would be great) to enter. Just a
comment. It’s easy. I'll pick someone at random. Most likely I'll ask my husband to pick a number between 1 and whatever. He's officially banned from entering.
What do you
win?
I’ve thought
about this for some time (like 10 minutes) and I decided on Brian Froud’s World of Faerie. If you already have the book,
you can still enter. I’ll just come up
with a different prize.
Can’t wait
to hear what ya’ll have to say.
I love love love fairies and always have. The novel I wrote is full of faries and they are warriors:) my daycare kids and I have a special Fairy named clover who plays with us everyday! We paint little houses for clover and her friends and make sure there are lots of flowers around for clover and her friends to enjoy!
ReplyDeleteIf I loose my keys, the kids tell me the fairies are playing hide and seek with me and I will find my keys when the game is over. They always show up!
I love that my daycare kids have listened to my tales of fairy friends and they are now all believers!
I hope when people read my novel Eliza, they will become believers too!
I hate to say it here, but I've not given fairies much thought. ::winces:: I'd be interested in learning more, though! :-)

Congrats on your blog's anniversary. What do I like about fairies... Hmmm, I've never really thought about it. I've always enjoyed how whimsical they are, yet so deliciously mischievous it's almost evil. Would I sound like a nerd if I mentioned that fairies are awesome in the Zelda games? LOL
ReplyDeleteCongrats on your blogoversary! I would kill a fae to have that book! (Just kidding, Fae)
ReplyDeleteI love everything about faeries - their differences and quirks, the way they muddle people's immpressions of them just enough so that accounts always conflict. The Tuatha De are perhaps my favorite...possibly because of their danger. ;)
I'm not entering the contest because I want someone who isn't ALREADY devoted to you to win. But I just wanted to say you make me smile. Great blog. Happy one year anniversary, Buff!
